Burnaby Power & Sail Squadron MMSI

This initiative purports to offer a source of information
on other Power Squadron members (CPS and USPS) that can be contacted by means of the DSC
capabilities of some VHF models. It is also presented as a contribution of the
Burnaby Power & Sail Squadron to further the implementation of the Global
Maritime Distress and Safety System on our waters.
The first edition of the
MMSI Directory is in its
final stages of development.
As is, it now includes:

Digital Selective Calling between stations,
·
Maritime Identification Digits for the Americas and Europe,
·
MMSI numbers for Canadian Coast Guard stations,
·
MMSI numbers for United States Coast Guard stations,

Maritime VHF Radio Protocols,
·
Guidelines for VHF Communications.
