This database
lists over 12,000 Canadian environmental contacts, including
manufacturers & distributors of environmental products and equipment,
environmental service companies & consultants, government laboratories, law
firms specializing in the environment, federal and provincial government offices
and crown agencies, local governments (where the population is over 10,000),
water & waste commissions, professional / trade / special interest associations,
special libraries with environmental holdings, and Canadian trade
representatives abroad responsible for environment industry development. New to
this edition, ISO indicators have been added to the directory of products and

review compiled by the national environmental group of Blake, Cassels & Graydon.
The following is a list of links (websites and
email addresses) compiled from the Canadian Environmental Directory. They are
listed alphabetically by company or organization name within categories. These
addresses were verified in April 1999, when we went to press. We are constantly
updating our records, and would be happy to hear from you if you find either an
outdated link or an on-line company or organization not represented here. Best
of success with your web searching!

SeaWeb is a project designed
to raise awareness of the world ocean and the life within it. The ocean plays a
critical role in our everyday life and in the future of our planet. We believe
that as more people understand this and begin to appreciate the earth as a water
planet, they will take actions to conserve the ocean and the web of life it
supports.

About The Ocean Project
Our Mission
We are a new
initiative that intends to create in people a lasting, measurable, top-of-mind
awareness of the importance, value, and sensitivity of the oceans. We believe
that the single greatest impediment to healthy and productive marine and coastal
areas is the public's low level of ocean awareness.
Through this
unprecedented collaboration among aquariums, zoos, science, technology, and
natural history museums, and other educational institutions that together serve
more than 100 million visitors each year, The Ocean Project aims to
significantly increase the success of ocean conservation. The Ocean Project
seeks to complement and build upon the work of existing institutions and
organizations. We also collaborate with local, regional, and national nonprofit
conservation and environmental organizations to actively involve people in
conservation activities in their communities and better connect them to the
oceans.

institution or organization that would like to become involved with the The
Ocean Project please contact us!
