COMMANDERS REPORT
JUNE 13, 2007
Burnaby Squadron was well
represented at the PMD Change of Watch. Special
thanks to Bev Estock, Nancy Cocking, Mike Matich,
Betty Ewasiuk and Pat Brandlmayr for assisting with
the organization and running of the weekend.
Dave Holbrook and Darcy
O’Shea with helpers did an excellent job of
organizing and running the Community Cruise June 4.
The 19 guests enjoyed the experience despite the
rain. Unfortunately the Brain Injury group cancelled
the night before the cruise because of potential
mobility problems created by slippery decks.
At the PMD meeting on June 11 a
number of important issues were discussed as
follows:
·
Merit marks will be accumulated
electronically over a number of years.
·
The
CPS guide book is available on-line to members
at the CPS site under Members Mooring.
·
The CPS site can be used to sign up
for courses. Click on
CPS Training and Education.
·
Passing of the Boat Pro course
with CPS will include a CPS Associate Membership for
one year. Squadrons can set their own Boat Pro
course fees.
·
The boating course fee will be
set at $275.00 per student for Pacific
Mainland District Squadrons starting in September,
2007. Completion will include a one year CPS
membership with benefits.
·
Discounted family rates for the
Boating Course are discontinued. All students will
pay the same price.
